The short answer
Count four things: how many websites, how much storage, how many mailboxes and how many databases you need. Pick the smallest plan that clears all four with some headroom, and move up when you are regularly near a limit, not before. The plan table below shows the live limits.
The four numbers that decide it
- Websites. Each domain you host counts. A staging copy counts too.
- Storage. Add up website files, uploaded images and documents, email and database size. Uploads, not code, are what fill an account.
- Mailboxes. One per person who needs an address, plus any shared addresses such as info@.
- Databases. WordPress and most CMS sites use one database each; some applications use more.

If a plan does not publish a limit you care about, ask before buying. We never fill gaps by guessing.
A method that works
- Write down your four numbers as they are today.
- Multiply storage by about 1.5 to allow for a year of growth.
- Find the cheapest plan in the table whose limits are all at or above your numbers. The plan selector does this step for you and shows its rules.
- Compare monthly and yearly billing with the calculator. Yearly is usually cheaper per month if you are sure you will stay.
What “unlimited” does and does not tell you
Where a plan says Unlimited, it is the figure the provider publishes for that limit. Unlimited things still run on real servers, so read the provider’s terms for what is covered. Goji’s guide to hosting prices in Nepal discusses what unlimited does and does not cover on these plans.
Signs you have outgrown a plan
- Storage is above about 80% and still growing.
- You want a second or third website and the plan allows only one.
- You have run out of mailboxes or databases.
- Traffic hits a cap, if the plan has one.
Before upgrading for speed, check that the cause is a limit and not the site; see the speed checklist.
Moving up
Goji says you can move up a plan whenever you outgrow one. Plan changes happen in your Goji account, so ask Goji support how an upgrade works for your service and what it costs before you depend on it.
Renewal
No introductory price is built into the first term: a plan renews at the listed price for the billing period chosen. Plans renew automatically and can be cancelled from the Goji dashboard. If a plan’s price ever changes, it changes for everyone on that plan.
Common questions
Should I start small and upgrade later?
Yes, if the smaller plan clears all four numbers today. Pay for headroom you are likely to use within a year, not for headroom you might need one day.
Is it better to pay monthly or yearly?
Yearly is normally cheaper per month. Monthly keeps your commitment small while you are still deciding. The calculator shows the difference at today’s prices.
